Q: Why should our company use FirstCall when we can buy a stand alone system and do everything ourselves?
A: Technology changes so rapidly it pays to let FirstCall manage the technology. Maintaining phone lines is expensive. So is managing and hiring personnel to keep your database current. FirstCall offers a VPN (Virtual Private Network) option that allows the you to access your maps and identify the area to be notified from your own company's computers. The FirstCall VPN is state of the art and can be accessed and/or activated from any phone anywhere. With our VPN option, the you will have the best of both worlds.
Q: What about training? If our company elects to use FirstCall, who is responsible for training our associates to use your system?
A: FirstCall will train your authorized users at no charge. We offer weekly training over the web for all Firstcall users. FirstCall also offers unlimited "role playing" for your authorized users at no cost to you.
Q: What happens if my company has an emergency and FirstCall is down?
A: It is our responsibility to you to never be down. FirstCall has a natural gas generator which provides full backup in our Louisiana office. We maintain a secondary site with complete redundancy at our location in Nevada . All data is replicated is real time between facilites. As a FirstCall client, you will be provided our main emergency number as well as two secondary emergency numbers. Should a disaster take down our hard phone lines, an emergency cellular number is available to you.
Q: What if I have an emergency and FirstCall is already working on a notification for someone else? Is FirstCall able to handle multiple activations?
A: FirstCall can and routinely does handle multiple activations and notifications. FirstCall has enough lines to run multiple notifications at the same time. In addition, if you are using the Virtual Private Network (VPN) for notifications, you and other clients can start your own activations simultaneously.
